Who should apply:
We seek applications from arts workers who are passionate about contemporary art and critical discourse, the role of arts media in the sustainability of the broader arts ecosystem, and the bridges between many regional art scenes and the dynamic global art world.
This residency was created to amplify new voices and cultivate pathways to leadership in publishing. If you have minimal publishing history or experience with the administration and operations of arts publishing, and if you have strong feelings about the position or status of arts writing within the contemporary art world, we encourage you to apply.
The resident will work closely with our administrative team. Because of the hands-on nature of the residency, Bay Area residents are preferred, although we are open to conducting the residency remotely over Skype. Residents should be self-directed and self-starting, and be able to work independently in a fast-paced digital environment that requires impeccable communication skills and flexible hours. Weekend work may be required.
DSAP seeks a variety of perspectives and encourages qualified applicants of any age, race, gender, religion, ability, marital status, sexual orientation, ancestry, arts education, or experience.
